New Pickguard for the Fender 50th Anniversary Jazz Bass

A loud hello to all happy Fender 50th Anniversary Jazz Bass owners.

To all those who find the original white pickguard of our dream bass hideous and to those who wanna keep the original pickguard free from dings:

I sent a tracing of the pickguard to http://www.pickguards.com, so now they'll be able to produce a pickguard that fits. No other Jazz Bass pickguard will fit!

You could get it in white pearl for example. Or even an aged one.

The first ever produced will cost me 75$, but those that follow will be Strat price. That would mean i.e. 49.95$ for white pearl.

What's so different about the pickguard on this Jazz that no other will fit? From the pictures it just looks like a regular vintage style Jazz pickguard with a current American Standard style truss rod notch.

In my experience, there is hardly any interchangeablilty between different Jazz models. They all *look* the same but when you go to fit it, they are all slightly different.
