New pickguard for Peavey Milestone III

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey

In an attempt to try and "update" my Peavey, along with defretting the neck and hopefully getting new pickups, I want to purchase a new pickguard for it, mainly as mine has a chip out of it due to an accident. Problem is, I haven't been able to find a supplier of the pickguards, and I can't use a Fender Precision Bass pickguard as the Fender P bass has a different pickup arrangement to the Milestone III.

Can anybody put me onto a supplier of either Milestone III pickguards or an alternative that would fit the bass guitar?

Here's a picture of the pickguard shape, it is similar to a Jazz bass pickguard but with an extension covering the pots and knobs.

Thanks

Oli

It would probably be cheepest to take the old pickguard to a repair shop and have them use it as a pattern for a new one. For some reason it is difficult to find pickguards for any peavey bass except the T-40. I am currently having the same problem finding a guard for my '84 Patriot. So I am having a local pro cut me one once he gets the material in. His price is just about the same as a repo precision guard, so it shouldn't be too expensive.
