New tuners for a Highway One Jazz bass

I've had a Highway One Jazz bass lying around from about 2005 or so that I've recently picked up and realized is awesome. I replaced the pickups with the antiquity IIs back when I got it and now as it will be my main bass I would like to upgrade the tuners (they're kinda loosey goosey). Any good suggestions?

This site (http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/b...nersfender.htm) describes the peghead hole hole as 11/16" for the highway one, so could I say use the American reissue vintage tuners from the same page? They require the same size peghole but the mounting space is different.

I are confused!

Hipshot makes a replacement for Highway basses. The HB-7. I just like Hipshot products in general and use Hipshot on all my basses.

Can you not just tighten them? Ive had 3 HW's and all have had really nice feeling tuners (IMO of course).
