Question This newbie's "buzzing" bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok so I had my first lesson yesterday and my instructor (whom I've already replaced for reasons I won't get in to) told me that my bass buzzes and that the neck is dry ...I have absolutely no idea what he's talking about. Can someone please enlighten me before I go and do something silly to my bass? In case you need to know it's an Ibanez 5 string 2 pickup GSR205. Thanks in advance

He probably means that the action is too low and that you need to introduce some relief into the neck to stop it buzzing, when you fret certain notes.
