nonmatching hardware?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I'm building a 5 string parts jazz, wondering if anyone could post pics of their bass with unmatched hardware (black bridge with chrome tuners for example) becuse i'm not sure how good that would look, and I can't seem to find pics of any.

It will look like poo poo. Only people in Russia use unmatched parts. They're poor and they can't find the parts. Have you ever heard of a music store in Russia? Gweetarsky Centerski ? I don't think so.

I've seen a few Geckos with mismatched bridges and tuners, and I had a P with chrome on the tuners and bridge, black knobs, and cream and black pickups. It looked pretty awesome if I do say so myself. And I do. Often.

Non-matching hardware usually looks absolutely ridiculous.

All metal parts should match, with the exception of black knobs with chrome or gold hardware.

I still say musicians in Russia use mis-matched parts.

I think a black bridge and chrome tuners can work fine. Ive seen a few that had mixed colors for tuners that looked ok to. The latter mainly on some boutique basses.
