I'm pretty new to bass. I'm primarily a guitar player. I have a few questions I'd like to put in one post. First off, I have a 5 string and have brand new Ernie Balls on there (.45-130) My first question concerns buzzing. The bass buzzes a lot all over the fretboard. Could this be due to the new strings? Is this gauge considered light for bass? I think the relief is a little tight, so when i went to adjust it, I noticed there are two truss rods for my bass (It's a Traben if that helps) Does two truss rods make any difference than one? Also, I play mostly rock and metal in my band but on my free time i like slap. Should I adjust the action for each style? Should the action be higher or lower for those styles? I'm used to guitar strings, their gauges and whatnot so I apologize if my questions seem kinda weak. I appreciate anybody's input and if I need to give more info, please lemme know. Thanks all and happy Thanksgiving.

If it's buzzing evenly all the way up & down the fretboard, raise the saddles.

And fwiw, a bass with 2 truss rods should be adjusted by turning both the same amount, unless the relief on one side is different from the other side (twisting)
