noOb question about Cort Curbow4

Sign in to disble this ad
I’ve got a real noOb question here. I have just got a new Cort Curbow4. I love the thing, i like the way it sounds, plays and it looks cool too, but this is the first guitar I have had that has an active pick up. It takes a 9v battery and here is my stupid question; it only uses the battery when the cable is plugged into the guitar right? If the cable is not plugged in, the system is off and not using the battery I assume. I want to know if I have to keep taking the battery out to save power or if it only turns on when I plug in. Thanks in advance...

You are correct, the pre-amp is on when the cable is plugged and off when you unplug it. There is no need to take the battery out.
