I have heard he is one of the best in nyc and also that he is very expensive.

I need my Ibanez SR 506 set up so that I can tap better (dont like the action 12+ frets). Truth be told, I am kinda afraid to call him and find out that it would be $150 to do that.

Anyone got his bass set up by imai? How much does he charge for 6 string bass set ups?

Thanks in advance

his rep is stellar.

I'd assume a setup like you want may be a bit time consuming....but just call and ask. it cant hurt.

thanks.. i did call today and talked about my bass.. he is a nice guy. he said i should bring it in before he can say whether my setup would be more expensive than what he quoted on the phone or not (i wasnt too far off in my guess).. and then i can decide whether i want to go through with it.. well, looks like my 506 is going to cost me a LOT just to be able to tap easily on it maybe i will try to do some myself before giving up and paying so much

thanks guys
