maybe this should be in the string section... but my porblem is that the string keeps hitting the fret when i can my e,a strings.

*i have a 4 string bass, when i play e open, the string doesnt hit the fret and make this annoying noise

When ever i play first,second,and third fret, my string hits the fret. i mean *** i can stop it unless i palm mute it.

that goes for the a string.

anyone have anyideas on how to possible fix this problem. i can hear it even when i'm playing to my head phones.
