Nut 42 mm for ESP LTD DF-404

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone have suggestions were to find a standard 42 mm nut to change the setup on an ESP LTD DF-404? I will be switching to D'Addario EXL160TP, 050/.070/.085/.105 from the default .070/.090/.110/.130. Open to suggestions. New to all of this.

Thank you.

GuitarPartsDepot is supposed to carry ESP/LTD replacement parts, but I didn't see the exact nut you were describing there. There were 40, 43, and 45mm preslotted graphite nuts, which are probably pretty close to the original.

AllParts has many different types of bass nuts..

StewMac sells nuts and blank nuts, ranging in price and materials.. Might have to cut your own to duplicate the spacing on your bass.

The strings that you've mentioned are pretty-much a standard medium gauge.. Should be able to go with a preslotted nut for that bass.
You might want to call GuitarPartsDepot and ask about direct replacements.. You'd probably be looking for a nut from a F-254, F-204, or maybe even one of the TA-200 or 600 series basses..
