If you mean that is it OK for the string slots to cut into the wood behind the nut, yeah. But if you mean the wood is cracking at the nut, then that could be a problem. It's really hard to tell without a decent photo, and it's downright impossible with vague and illiterate wording of the question. You gotta help us to help you.
