Nut question... help me out guys...

Alright... can someone please tell me where i can buy a new nut for my Squier P bass? I called up a local shop and they want 45.00 to put in a new one...does this sound right?

Yep. That's pretty much the hourly bench fee for a good tech. The nut blank costs next-to-nothing but a well-cut nut, properly installed is worth a million bucks!

well he tried to do somethin to the slots and ended up tearing the thing up.... it also has a nice crack down the middle... believe me if it didnt need a new one, i wouldnt waste the time or money lol...

There's a major difference between buying a nut, and having a nut fitted.

Nuts are not drop in replacements. What are you looking for exactly?
