So i'll come clean, I love les claypool, i've learnt a lot of slap and chord technique from studying him, but have never been able to solo at the speed and intricacy of him.
I know everyone will say you just have to practice but I read recently that he uses an odd gauge on his 4 string. G & D are .40 and A & E are .80!
has anyone ever experimented with this kind of setup? how did you find it?
