One String Out of Tune?

Sign in to disble this ad
I consider myself to have a pretty good ear for intonation, and I could swear that my E string is out of tune in between the 7th and 18th frets. I own a 1977 Fender Jazz Bass, so being that the bass is almost 30 years old, I think thats probably a contributing factor. Has this happened to anybody before?

maybe the intonations off, its possible that you need to adjust the set screw at the bottom of the bridge. use an accurate tuner to compare the e harmonic to the fretted e(12th fret)
