Sign in to disble this ad
im concidering buying an older bass but the hardware has definately seen better days.

I always liked the look of the original badass and im getting a badass II for my fender jazz soon but whats the difference (appart from the aesthetics / screw holes) between the two? are there issues with the original > I dont think iv ever seen one in person before.

I am not realy woried about putting new holes in as i'l probably have to do it whichever route I go.

thanks guys.

The BA I is a bit taller and has a smaller footprint than the BAII. It has less intonation range, but plenty if positioned right. It's also more "rounded" (the saddles kinda sit on a hill with A and D slightly higher than E and G) to match older, more radiused style necks.

The original is designed as a generic replacement or for use as original equipment. The BA II is a direct replacment for Fender basses that is designed to fit without modifying the bass in any way.

Functionally, they are both quality productions. Functionally, the should perform about the same.
