A J bass cover will surely fit on a P-bass, whether it looks good or not is entirely subjective, and a matter of personal taste. I myself wouldn't do it. Seems like a waste of space to me. I like the look of the standard P-bass cover anyway.

I'm with C.Linton on this. I put a J bridge cover and P pup cover on my Mustang years ago and thought it looked cool, but eventually took the bridge cover off due to it covering too much, and I've come to prefer the look of uncovered bridges. I still liked the pup cover to slide my thumb along.
