P Bass mods advice

Sign in to disble this ad
What kind of pickups or other mods could I do to give my new american P bass some more low end and some more gritty rumble?

I currently use a musicman stingray HS with my band because it has what I need as far as our bands style.

Everytime I bring my p bass to practice I end up grabbing the stingray again.

I'd hate to sell the bass since its brand new plus I'd have to take a hit on selling it. If I can slap some new pickups in it or something easy then that would be great.

if it helps any to know what kind of music I play you can checkout my bands music on myspace/shattereddisplay

I recorded with the musicman but not through my genz benz. I went straight through their board.

Are the pickups set to the right height on your P. It might just need a set up. Otherwise, I'm really happy with my Bartolini P pickups...Ps on steroids.
