P Bass pickguard question

I've been cruising around looking for an answer, but have come up empty so far.

I think I've narrowed my next bass choice down to a Fender Deluxe Active P ... but I just don't like those gold pickguards.

My question is, does a standard pearl or tortoise shell P bass pickguard fit on the deluxe?

I don't think so because of the extra control pots. You may be able to drill the extra holes, but the existing ones may need to move. There may be other changes, too.

Have you looked at Pickguardian or Jeannie Pickguards?
