P Pickguards 10 hole/new versions - Compatible??

Sign in to disble this ad
Just wondering if a 10 hole pickguard will fit my non vintage P body. Or would I need to redrill all the holes?

Fancy a gold anodised pickguard, but they only seem to make them in a ten hole?

From my experience doing the same thing, you'll need to drill one new hole next to the control cavity. The rest of the holes should line up just fine.

The other option is to find a gold pg from a Fender P-bass Special (2003-or earlier) - 13-hole pattern and 3 contol holes. Post-2003, they went to active controls and added a 4th hole in the pg.

Thanks for that. I've ordered a pickguard...
