Paint?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm about to paint an old bass I had laying around. It's my first time doing so, so I need a little help. I've sanded it, and it's all ready to paint.
Is there a certain type of paint I should get?
Should I spray it or brush it. (I also have a paint sprayer I could drag out.)
Certain type of lacquer I should use?
And any tips/advice are welcome! Thanks!

Two good places to get info from:

The Guitar Refinishing and Restoration Forum :: View Forum - Guitar Finishing and Restoration

Finely Finished - Telecaster Guitar Forum

Btw, you could have just scuffed up the original coat and use it as a primer coat. That saves a lot of time and effort if you're going to paint.
