ive just recently bought a jackson pro bass erm n i wanna strip the body down spray it with an off white colour and then coat it with purple pearlessent paint my question is do i need to give a coat with a laquer or something to get the shine back it originaly had im asking this purely because although i know how to paint the body im not too sure what to do to finish it someone mentioned polyurethane to me shud use that or somthing else?
or could i use hammerite paint i think that would look really good in red but would it damage or affect the body n any way?
