Painting pickup and bridge covers?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a Fender Highway 1 P bass that I've got chrome pickup and bridge covers on. I'd like to paint those covers gloss black. I'd also like to paint the knobs gloss black, too. Has anyone ever done this? Would there be any problems with doing this? I appreciate any input you can give.

Getting paint to stick to chrome is tricky. Powder coating would be a better way to go.
