I was pumping my E string and part of the nut flew off and hit me and then flew across the room.Where can i find a new nut for a four string hamer velocity2 ash? I tried to super glue it,that lasted 5 picks or so.Thanks for the help...

Take it to a guitar tech, they can make you a proper nut instead of jerry-rigging an off the shelf plastic pos that'll sooner break again.

One time at a show I was ripping the strings off of a 5 string non-reverse t-bird in an effort to make a crecendo of noise at the end of my band's set when I snapped my g string and it shot part of my nut at my guitarist. Then it hit him in the face.

OMG I get it now. Hah that's hilarious.
I'd hate it if my G string popped and my nut hit my guitarist in the face...

Bigduke, you're one tough son of a gun. I know I couldn't sit and write if part of my nut went flying across the room.

After fits of laughter for 10 minutes, I almost think this should be part of the "vasectomy" thread.

Sad thing is, it's a true story. Seeing as there were plenty of people that observed my guitarist getting nutted in the face, it took a while to live that one down.

Just when I think I'm gaining a little maturity after 28 years on this planet, a thread like this comes along to prove how juvenile my sense of humor really is.

Good stuff . . .

BEST...THREAD.....EVER....

I needed a good laugh with the dreaded holidays upon us. Tears are streaming down my face as I am visualizing this. The only thing that could have been better is if it hit the lead vocalist instead of the guitarist!
