| It is not a matter of "vintage." A '62 Precision is a vintage guitar if only the body and neck remain. Actually, the term "vintage" by itself does not mean very much. What matters is whether or not one can or should include the phrase "all original" when describing a vintage guitar. "All original" means all original parts. Down to the screws. Solder connections undisturbed. Many collectors prefer the guitar be left uncleaned just so they can do it themselves.
When it comes to changed parts, reputable dealers and individuals will specify in the offering. For example:
"1969 Fender Jazz with Seymour Duncan in bridge. Have original pickups"
As far as small screws go, it is a disclosure that should be made. A high-end collector may pass on the instrument because of them. The average collector will not.
