pearl block inlay raising?

is this a big deal to repair, im looking at buying a fender p bass
with block inlays! he says one of the blocks is raising out of board ! can i fix this easy or what would it cost to repair?

It's not expensive, but...it's one of those things that is a serious structural deal. Basically the wood underneath the block has split open and forced the inlay to pop up...so you're dealing with a split fingerboard. I'd stay away.

I didn't think p basses came with block inlays. Are you sure it's the original neck?
