Peavey Cirrus Bridge Replacement

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello All:
Considering the purchase of a Peavey Cirrus but do not like the style of bridge that they use. Did some looking around but couldn't find anything as to a direct replacement bridge of any type. Anyone seen a bridge that is a good replacement for the stock bridge on a Peavey Cirrus? Thanks!

What don't you like about the ABM bridge other than it has a zillion hex screws? A Hipshot would be your best bet but I believe the footprint is a bit shorter than the ABM's. The screw holes may line up (3). Contact Jason Ungelich @ Hipshot for additional guidance.

I'm just not a huge fan of bridges with an open end for the ball end of the string - call me strange but I like it better when it strings through a hole in the bridge or through body. I love the BadAss style on my Jazz and like the looks of the Schaller Roller Bridge on my friends Peavey........ Yea, I know, weird.......

Ah, not a big fan of the quick release system, eh? I'm a little OCD about it myself....the ballends have to be aligned with each other perfectly. I'll even stick a small screwdriver through the holes to keep them immobile while tuning to pitch.

There is treatment provided we seek early intervention.

My one complaint with my Axcelerator. Can't stand the ABM bridge. Makes setup a huge PITA. There's no "drop-in" replacement, but I'm sure you can find something generic which will work better.

As bad as the ABM is, the Bunker / PBC monrail fine-tuner is even worse when it comes to set-ups...but that's another thread!
