hey c'mon now, the strobostomp is
far more accurate than any regular digital tuner. and the real strobos
are "strobe-based", they just do it with software rather than mechanical or analog means. the incoming pitch is mixed with a reference pitch, and the resulting interference pattern becomes the display.
it's not like the "strobe" setting on a regular tuner, which still decides pitch by counting a few cycles, averaging their length, and throwing out a result that looks like some sort of strobe pattern.
since the strobos use software to be 1/10 cent accurate, why not the iphone?
