tell the key player to get all acoustic gear and see how he copes with actually having a physical instrument rather than a digi copy of one triggered by a small computer...... then tell him he goes naturally in and out of tune and you haveissues with his playing and he HAS to carry all your gear from now on hehehe

itsounds to me like you dont have a problem with yr bass just an anal key player esp if you never noticed it more than slight variance on the tuner.

watch the bass's intonation on a stroboscopic tuner. a regular digital tuner WILL take a moment or two to settle in to the pitch, especially on low instruments like bass. This is not indicative of a problem with the bass, more of the physical and technological limitations of the tuner.

I wonder if he just noticed it on a tuner and convinced himself he heard the problem, when all along it was just a tuner glitch.
