Pickguard doesn't fit..

I'm too angry to explain in extreme detail right now, so I'll get straight to the story.

The bass EQ control on my basses preamp felt loose. I took the knob off and went to tighten the washer. The pot falls threw the pickguard. I take the pickguard off and get it all nice and fit back on to it and then I can't get the pickguard to go back on. It doesn't fit around the fretboard / neck / whatever it's called now-a-days.

Should I contact the company or fix it myself? How would I fix it myself in the first place without braking it. I love this bass and really need to get this fixed. Bass is a Brubaker Brute MJX-5

Okay first......don't try and work on it while angry. It will go down hill. Been there done that:/

If everything fit in the first place it can fit back together again.

From why I read all you did was tighten something however it fell into the body.

If It fit together at one point, it can fit again.

What I've had to do before is unscrew the pickups so that you can get the pickguard around the neck, and then basically shift the pickups and pickguard back into place and then screw them back down.

I think it was easier to take off the pickguard becuz the EQ pot wasn't on in the first place. OP may need to loosen the strings and try again.

Maybe the pot turned. Take off the knobs, loosen the control that fell in, turn it slightly each way until it fits. It should be a simple fix if it fit before.

Thank for you your help. It was the pot that needed to move, I fixed it. I apologize for making a whole thread for this, I was a little too worried. Thanks everybody
