pickguard screws

well i have a 08 american standard precision bass. i was switching pickguards and one of the screws on the bottom jus keeps turning. i guess i rounded the screw hole? any way to fix it?

Put a bit of yellow or white glue on a wooden toothpick, insert into hole and break off flush to the body. After 30 minutes or so, insert screw and tighten until snug.

thanks but what if i am gonna have some work on it done like a pickup swap and new pots? do i glue the piece of toothpick before or after or it doesnt matter?
