Pickguard Size

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, I'm not new to the forum just made a new account since my old one was linked to a now unreachable email.

Anyway, I have a 1991 MIJ '73 reissue Fender Jazz, and I want to change the pickguard. I was browsing sites and it didn't seem like any of them had my year of bass, and I was wondering if any of you could tell me what category of pickguard does it take? Are they all universal as long as they have the right number of holes?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid not, specially being a RI MIJ.

Send the original pickguard to someone like Jeannie or Pickguardian and they'll make an exact match in your desired color for just a bit more cash than you'd pay for a Fender replacement...

I have had some hassle with pick-guards. I had ordered from several companies over the years and had inappropriate fittings, hole positions and general shape problems quite often. Tracing out what you need will really save you some problems. Even 2mm in the wrong place can look poorly.
