| pickup covers Here's my take on it:
When Leo Fender would introduce a new model or added parts, he would invite players to his shop to try them out. A lot of players used their thumb, hince the lower thumb/finger rest. the PU cover served as a palm rest. The cover over the bridge insured that you didn't cut your palm if you played back there in the same fashion plus it later served as a mute holder such as foam...Tone or any other equations will solely be left up to the individual. Take in mind...I read this somewhere long ago, so don't get angered if you read something entirely different. Why Ric done it I don't know |
