| Pickup height question

I just got my SX bass in the mail yesterday. needless to say it needed some adjustments.
i got the pickups to where they look even, it's a jazz by the way. they look straight across from E to G but the volume i get out of my G string is a decent amount louder than the E.
Is there anything that could cause this problem other than pickup height?
What is considered the best height from the top of the pickup to the bottom of the string? |
