Plastic hardshell case repair

I dropped my case the other day...thank goodness it didnt damage the bass..but it left a nice whole and a crack in the plasitc case (fender case)..its right near the rear hinge...Any ideas on how to repair... 2 stage epoxy? ...fiberglass.
any input would be greatly appreciated.

hardcore: get some scrap metal, like the side of a discarded computer or something, and rivet a patch over the break. That would look pretty mean.

You can also search youtube for "plastic welding" -- with a soldering iron and some scrap plastic, you might be able to patch up the crack reasonably well.

Or, yeah, maybe epoxy (make sure it's suitable for plastics), and the black bottom of a 2-liter bottle of pop, and epoxy a patch over it.

A picture of the damage would be helpful in suggesting a repair method.

Hi.

+1 for the pic request.

Almost all the plastics used in rack and instrument cases is weldable, and I have done so numerous times.

Practice on scrap pieces beforehand though .
