Please help me find a 4PDT on/on/on mini switch.

Need one to mod a G&L for single coil switching.

It's this right here, but Allparts says it will be a month before they have any. Wasn't thrilled about paying $30 for a $2 switch anyway, but I'm not having much luck anywhere else.

Or if you have one for sale, let me know.

i had to scrounge one of those for my fernandes a while back. that bass is long gone now and i can't remember where i got the switch. i DO remember, however, they aren't $2 (my initial thoughts as well).

EDIT:

MF has one. Also not cheap and also out of stock. Free shipping, at least:

DiMarzio Three Position On/On/On 4PDT Pickup Selector Switch $29.95
Availability: Expected: 11-14-2010.

I will check Mouser.

As for that DiMarzio above, it's not a mini switch. It's HUGE. Takes about a 1/2" mounting hole.

Guess I should have posted this in electronics

But I may end up using two of those to do this (one for each pickup) since it seems like I'd have better luck finding the Ark of the Covenant than one of these switches

Mouser has 'em (C&K 7000 series) but they're $18, not much less than the AllParts, which is $22. Probably the same switch.

EDIT: ...but they are in stock

yeh, yer right. looks like the trick is finding it in a mini, then (at a reasonable price).

As I posted in your other thread, the switch you are looking for is known as a DP3T.
Mouser has a bunch of them.

Here you go:

http://www.mouser.com/Electromechani...d=4PDT&FS=True

Pick the termination style you want.

The pics are of a generic C&K SPDT or something. The part numbers are for the actual switch.

The DP3T in the picture confused me. What does that mean?

The number of poles P is the number of independent circuits you can switch. The number of throws T is the number of separate switch positions. These terms are not always used precisely, and usually the switch function (ON-ON, ON-OFF-ON, etc.) is listed separately.

4PDT is 4 Pole Double Throw, which has 12 contacts. It can have various functions. The first one in the Mouser list is what you showed at AllParts.

DP3T is Double Pole 3 Throw which has 8 (or 12) contacts. It can also have various functions as above.

Here's a page with some examples and circuit diagrams of the switch types:
