I have a Fender Jazz bass with some pretty corroded polepieces.-rust in fact...The adjustment screws are also covered with it.Is there any way to fix it without replacing the pickups and screws?
Thanks in advance!

You could use some CLR, or other rust remover, but I have a feeling that you might have to replace the pickups if they're rusted.

Replacement screws are available anywhere guitar parts are sold.

The corroded pole pieces are another problem. You might try a little fine sandpaper - 400 or 600 grit - to take the oxidation off. Don't use steel wool unless you remove the pup first. Once it's clean, you can coat them with clear nail polish to keep them looking good.
