I just bought a new bass, and the hipshot bridge on it sucks. I can't intontate the thing properly because on the short bridge screw and the saddle move around. Anyone know of a good replacement? It needs to be black and top loading.
I'd really hate to route the body. Its got the 4 screw arrangement that looks pretty standard. Help!

Try an ABM for what I would consider one of the finest pieces you could put on your bass. Some call it a Hipshot copy but I rather think it is the other way around. The ABM doesn't use a spring loaded screw to the saddle like the Hipshot - they don't have to! The tolerances of the ABM are superior to the Hipshot. They come in black too!

Try http://www.allparts.com for the ABM's

On the three Stambaughs I've had built, Chris strongly suggested ABM bridges- I went w/that & have had no issues whatsoever.
