Possible Warping of the Body Showing?

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a bass, and it looks like one of the boards that.makes up the body is not level. I cannot really tell from the finish if that is the problem. It looks like a smooth line going straight through the body. Is there any way to fix this?

nice shot.

that's a sanding flaw in the body, where one piece was not perfectly leveled with the other piece before painting.

or, the one piece of wood might have slightly shrunk in more than the other over time.

either way, there's no "fixing" it, because it's not "broken". i wouldn't worry about it.

Dealing with it would entail sanding and refinish (expensive stuff) for something that does not affect overall functionality.

I thought there might have been an easy way to fix it that I didn't know about, but if it isn't broken, I'll deal with it. Thanks for the advice.
