Proggressive dullness on strings?

Hey guys, Im having a bit of an issue that I have realized until the other night. Well I recently bought an sx about 2 months ago, but hadn't used it in a show with my 8x10 until the other night. For some reason, my bass would sound normal on the E string, but then as I went up the strings to an A, then the D, then the G, it got much more silent. Like almost to a point where I couldnt hear it on the G string. My p bass doesnt do this from what I can recall, so is it just my pickup height under those strings? Its my first jazz btw so I dont know if the pickup should be going higher or what.

Set up your bass following the guidelines from Fender and then let me know if the problem persists..
