Hello,was wondering is there a diff on how the p-bass pick-up is stationed in the body?,i've seen some with a pitch{mia,mim}in a tent style fashion,and some with them just flat across or sitting dead even,is there a difference?...?....

"Proper" is the way that gives equal volume for all four strings. That's generally angled

You get slightly darker tone with the pup in regular neck position as oppsed to middle position. Best is with E&A side as the side thats closer to the bridge rather then the std which is opposite. Imo

The idea is to approximate the radius of the fingerboard, and have roughly the same pick-up height to string distance across all strings
