PSA: Pickup Ramps. If you want to try one...DO IT!

I've been mulling over getting a pickup ramp built for one of my basses for years. I know there are a million different reasons people like/hate them...but my reasons were simple.

I play in a very energetic cover/wedding band, and i move around a LOT on stage. That leaves me and my bass moving around a lot when i play. In various degrees of sweatiness, this can lead to a LOT of inaccuracy. Dropped notes...or attacking to hard...etc.

With the addition of a crude pick up ramp i built (and a sweat band on my wrist)...those issues seem to be GONE, and even my sitting down relaxed playing seems to have gotten more accurate and consistent.

Bottom line...if you THINK it might help you...dont wait 3 years like me. Just do it.
