PUPS won't stay in raised position

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Marcus Miller jazz bass, I lowered the pups because they were "clacking" on the pups pretty bad.
I decided to raise them and play less heavy, and to have a place to sit my thumb. Well now they won't stay up. Did I compress the spring under there or what??

Pictures would help us help you better.

I've got the MM myself and I've never had this problem, though mine doesn't have the stock screws or pups anymore.
