Hi, I was removing my finger ramp and I dented the laminate doing so which I'm really upset about. Is it actually possible to fix these dents or shall I put the ramp back on to cover up the shame

It's a dent. It's too late to do anything about it now.
You think Jaco worried when he first dented his bass? You live, you learn.

Ive heard you can remove dents with a wet cloth and a soldering iron, not sure exactly how, but ive read it somewhere before..

but again, get over it, you'll get a few dings, it happens..

It'll buff out! Don't fret, unless you put the thing in a glass case to preserve it like a piece of art, over the years it's bound to get a few marks. Wait till you play out or drop one.

This really only works on unfinished or sometimes oil finished wood. The idea is that combination of heat and moisture re-expands the crushed pore in the wood and lifts the dent.

It does work to varying degrees. But if the wood is finished with the typical finished poly or nitro top coat, you'll cloud up the finish and do nothing for the dent.

Don't ask how I know this.
