putting an american neck on a mexican bass.

I have a 2005 fender active jazz bass. I really like the way the american necks feel as opposed to these mexican made active basses, and the nut on my neck is worn down and I'm worried about trying to replace it myself, so I was considering put in an american made neck.

Would this be a problem or would they fit about the same? Does anyone have any idea or have any tips if this would work?

Thanks in advance.

they should fit just fine. I have swapped American, Japanese and Mexican necks/bodies at one point or another.
