Question for Fretless Thunderchief players

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently picked up a 5 string fretless thunderchief. I'm new to the ABG world and I'm wondering what kind of string height is typical for these guitars. I know personal preference and playing style has a lot to do with what the right setup is for any particular player but I'm wondering how low I could get the strings if I choose to do so. Right now I have Labella Tapewounds at 3mm at the 5th, 4mm at the 12th and 5mm at the end. Being more accustom to playing electrics I would like the action to be lower & more consistent throughout the entire neck but I just don't know if that can happen with an ABG. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

PS: Any good luthier recommendations in eastern MA would be great too.

Here's thier site. They don't mention fretless, though
