| i've successfully used both methods, the chopstick is only good if there's a sizable hole, or if there's alot of other damage, then you can drill a larger hole for the chopstick.
if the hole is not too bad, the toothpick trick is the way to go. you just want to make sure that you use white or wood glue and let it dry. after it's dry, screw everything back together and you're good to go!
