Raising action.... help please.

Sign in to disble this ad
i have searched this topic about 3 times, but couldnt find anything simple enough for me to understand.. so sorry if it has been covered alot (which i know it has).

whats the easiest way to raise my action? its just a cheap Typhoon bass, so it might fall apart if i touch the truss rod (lol, jking). if someone could explain how to raise my action with pictures (not the sites on the sticky, they confused me lol), it would help. i want to adjust my action because i get that "steve harris clank" because i play too hard.. im not saying its a bad thing, but the action is very low on my bass and i dont like it..

thanx for any help you guys can give me.

Most bridges have screws on the string saddles that you can tighten to raise the action. You don't want to adjust action with the truss rod. Not a good idea!
