Lightbulb ratlling tuning keys, fender JP-90

Sign in to disble this ad
Two of the Schaller tuning keys in my Fender JP-90 have a rattle that I just can't seem to get rid of, even after dismantling them and putting them back together.. The odd thing is I can't even tell for sure which part is rattling. Any ideas on this? This bass is really light and resonant, so there are a lot of vibrations going on in this thing which makes it that much worse.

I'm thinking of just replacing them, but will tuners that fit a standard J-bass fit this guy?

Also, if anyone has any aftermarket recommendations, I think I'd like to spend around $30 for a set -- and I don't care if they look like Fender style keys as long as they are decent quality.. would prefer not to drill new holes but that isn't a deal breaker.

Thanks!!
