Rattling Clover leaf

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an old bass Fender-style in which the Clover leaf portion of the tuner on the G string is loose and rattles. The tuner is solid, and everything works fine, it's just the leaf/ear/key portion that moves in the shaft.

Is that description clear?

How can I stop this from rattling, a drop of solder? Crimping the tuner shaft?

Ideas?

Thanks.

Hi.

A drop or a two of CA glue should stop the rattling.

I'd also crimp the shaft.

Never thought about the CA! I've got plenty of it. Thanks!
