re-glue scarf joint in neck?

Sorry, it's cross post. But if I can get a good idea on how to fix it....

Please read on......from the other post....

So I'm cruisin' this hole-in-the-wall variety store and I spy this turquoise bass. Hockey stick headstock. I'm intrigued.
I pick it up and find that it's Washburn B10 ( early 80's ? ).

I also discover a scarf joint in need of repair. I can see movement just by flexing it by hand. I think that stringing this bass would catastrophic w/ out repair.
One thing.....the scarf is very low on the neck.....at the 3rd and 4th frets. Never seen that before.
I will add that I'm pretty sure the wood is OK.....the glue is just failing.

- If I get this and complete the repair...I have big plans for it.

I personally wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole (or a hockey stick). But that's just me. I hated the 80s oddball headstocks and pointy crap. But as far as the scarf joint being located half way down the neck, it sounds like there was a repair already made to the neck. Or somebody may have just added that hokey hockey head extension. If it was me I'd just get another neck but it appears you love the thing so go for it. Keep us in the loop on how it comes out.

Google shows the headstock to be original.
If I get it it's gonna get an EVH Frankenstrat paintjob.
