| re-glue scarf joint in neck?

Sorry, it's cross post. But if I can get a good idea on how to fix it....

I also discover a scarf joint in need of repair. I can see movement just by flexing it by hand. I think that stringing this bass would catastrophic w/ out repair.
One thing.....the scarf is very low on the neck.....at the 3rd and 4th frets. Never seen that before.
| I will add that I'm pretty sure the wood is OK.....the glue is just failing.  - If I get this and complete the repair...I have big plans for it.
